Reflecting on a beautiful Sunday...
20 years ago, I bought this Riedel glass. At the time, it was a tremendous amount of money for a single glass...but this re introduced me to wine. Years have gone by, and now I have a small cabinet full of Riedel...Merlot, Cabernet, Chardonnay, Pinot, Blanc, Port, Tequila...you get the idea.
Oddly enough, this, my first, has been sitting in the back waiting for 'that day'...'that'...what a tremendous word. In this time, I got married, opened businesses, had a family, expanded my passion for food and wine, went into a beautiful adventure called watches and met an incredible group of like-minded friends: TRF. It surprises me how we are always waiting for 'that' day...we always find an excuse...'it could be today BUT'... Quiet Sunday, after a nice walk with my son and our dog, why not make today 'THAT' day? What am I waiting for? For planets to align? To meet X or Y? Nah. Time to LOVE life! A nice wash with warm water and soap brings this beauty back to life! |

What's funny my online friend is you are rather inspirational. In the last couple of years I have started a family, got a job I love, bought a classic DJ (birth year for my son) and invested in my first batch of Riedel glasses. (Big 'O' Cab Sauv to start us off) and continue to enjoy my wine. I'm a few years behind you but thoroughly enjoy these threads... Thank you! |
