Thinking of selling or trading my 16710 K Series Pepsi for a new 116710BLNR.

After having the 16710 overhauled in 2015, it spends more time on the winder than my wrist. I wear my 42mm Explorer 216750 as a daily driver, and either my 116613LB or my 116520 SS Daytona for dress, both were new in late 2015.

The only other Rolex I'm remotely interested is a new 116660 SDDS.

Sell the 16710, 216570 (redundant gmt), and blusey, and buy a 116719 blro in white gold or 116618 in yellow gold. That's what I would do.

I personally wouldn't do it, as I like the 16710 much more than the current GMTs.

It's a no brainer. Do it. You won't regret it. The BLNR will not sit on your winder, that's for sure.

+1 I have the polar 216570 and have a BLNR on order. Redundancy be damned - it's a stunning watch.

If you like the BLNR better go for it! I own BLNR and love it - one of my favorite modern Rolex. The 16710 is also a great watch and have owned many over the years. If you aren't wearing your 16710 and you like the BLNR do it.

Love the 42mm size of the Explorer, I have a large wrist so the newer models look better on me. The Daytona even wears small.

I'm the opposite. I would like a 16710 now but I wouldn't give up the blnr for it.

If the watch is not being worn then I would move to a watch that would be worn. The BLNR is a nice reference.

The BLNR is the new model GMT2, solid links, polished centre links, ceramic bezel amongst others.

I started a thread like this a while ago, have a really nice Pepsi that I don't wear that often & overwhelming majority of members advised me to keep my 16710. I'm very happy I kept it and I really love it! That being said, I love the BLNR, and right now the Pepsi GMT is as high as it's ever been. So IMHO if you really want the BLNR and your going to wear it I'd definitely go for it. You'll be coming out of pocket a small amount of money compared to 2 years ago.

Prices on the 16710 are skyrocketing for a reason. It's a classic in the making. I bet you'll eventually come to regret it if you sell.

I think the 16710 is the coolest 5 digit reference and fits very nicely into your collection of modern Rolexes.

Although I respect and appreciate all the other opinions that are given here, and they are sound advice...I would very humbly advice you to just get what you feel comfortable wearing. After all you are the one who will be wearing it. So get whatever sings to you. If you were to ask me, I would also say that the 16710 is one of the coolest watches that Rolex has ever produced. Save for the BLNR and keep the 16710 if possible.
