Howdy
I just wanted to introduce myself.
I bought an Explorer a couple of day ago. It's my first Rolex. I enjoy reading about others' experience and contributing some of my own. I belong to two other watch boards and own many more modest brands. Speaking of modesty, the Explorer strikes me as being sort of the quiet, elegant, but tough member of the Rolex Family. Even though I've worn it in public, I've only told two people in "real life" that I bought a Rolex--my best friend and my psychiatrist. Seriously. |

Very nice, congrats. I have been wearing Rolex watches for quite a while and nobody in my family even has a clue, except my wife of course who see large withdraws from our checking account. I like you, prefer it that way, I wear a Rolex because I love them, not for anyone else. You have a beautiful watch their, enjoy.

Howdy back....
And welcome to TRF RE: Even though I've worn it in public, I've only told two people in "real life" that I bought a Rolex--my best friend and my psychiatrist. Seriously. So what did the psychiatrist have to say about your purchase of a Rolex? Enquiring minds want to know

Thank you, all.
The good doctor was interested in my reasons for having purchased it, but had no comment, except that he thought it was an elegant design. He never wears a watch and I honestly think that he doesn't even own one. |

I have not regretted my purchase for even one second, even though I spent the entire afternoon after getting it home almost completely without words to express my feelings. |

Welcome to the Forum..
The Explorer has one of the most recognized dials in the world.. I also think it is one of the best designed.... The original Subs came with that dial and I wish they still did............

Congrats.
I had to agree, after pulling the trigger for my first Rollie, the bullet just kept coming out and has not stopped since
