Is this normal for an Oyster bracelet?

Brand new Rolex owner. Have the Oyster bracelet with polished center links. The scratches initially bothered me but I've gotten over that. Just checking to see if it's normal to have a smudge "halo" around the crown? After wiping it goes away but it ultimately reappears (especially if I go out in cold weather). Is this normal for a new watch? Will that go away over time? Thanks all!
