Need information on Tudor watch with serial starting with serial 33...
I have searched the web high and low and I cannot find any information on this watch or find a picture of one that is similar. Forgive me if I am simply missing something...Long story short I acquired this watch from the original owner who bought it new. He was 19 at the time and is 75 now. This leads me to believe it is from 1961.
The model is a Tudor Prince Oysterdate, but the unique feature that it has compared to what i have seen is that it has 25 jewels written on the face... reference number 7966 and serial number 3366xx. I also cannot find any page with reference to serial number starting with 33. I would love to find a new face for it... Anyways any information would be greatly appreciated. Devan |

(I discovered the serial number pages I have been going to round up so this confirms the theory that it is from 1961. By face I meant glass)

Congrats on the acquisition! Yes, there are many model 7966s with the 25 jewel wording, you see it a lot on Canadian market watches of that era. A new crystal would make the watch pop (Rolex Crystal #112). I would ditch that God awful aftermarket strap too and install an original 7205 bracelet.
