My new Seadweller...

My new SD. Never used with all papers, tags, tools and everything else. I could keep it in a safe as a collectors item but I will use it and be happy :-)

Beautiful! With all this talk about the new anniversary SD, we forget how cool these 16600s were (are). Last of the classic Sea-Dwellers, and definitely preferable to the SD4K, IMHO. Congrats!

Love that watch, great choice! It was between that and the 16610LV for my first Rolex, the LV barely won out. Looking at pics like yours makes me second guess my decision ;-)

Very nice, looks great on you.

I see you are wearing with a dress shirt and coat. Can I ask you how it wears as far as the thickness goes? Do you find it uncomfortable at all? Does your shirt cuff get caught on the edge or anything else that you notice?

Considering getting a new Sea-Dweller as a potential one-and-only watch but I'm wondering about wearing at work where I wear shirts & ties most days.

Thanks.

To be honest I had the option to buy a 16610 SUB in the same condition (never worn). I find this one (the SD) more comfortable (very subjective, I know) and I have no problem what so ever with my shirts at least.

How do you like the added weight?

So you feel the added thickness actually improves the comfort? I have heard this before even though it seems counter-intuitive. I think I need to try one on (this model and the new 43mm version)

For me it actually sits better on the wrist. I like the weight in this thing and I find it much easier to wear than many other modern dive watches.

I love it...

That was my first Rolex, and my biggest mistake was letting it go

I was looking at an unused SD or Sub 16610 at Dreamwatches in the UK and the SD went and left me with the Sub to buy.

I love the Sub and it wears much bigger than I thought, kind of glad the SD went but I do like yours a lot!

Maybe I should say that this is the pre-ceramic version. Originally bought in 2007 but never used...
