Opinion on a Submariner 14060M

I'm getting a great deal on this Submariner 14060M year 2005. It would be my first Rolex. Theres no info on the service history and comes without box and papers. What do you guys think? Is it over polished? Should I get the 4 liner instead? Seller is asking for $4350

Thank you in advance!

Not over polished, nice looking piece. Make sure you've tried it on & you really love it if it's your first - don't worry so much about "good deals" be more concerned with buying a watch that will satisfy you and make you happy every time you stare down at it!

Looks good. And the price is also good. I love the two liner!
But you can never be sure how it looks inside the watch. Maybe she needs a service.
No one can know that. Think well.

That two liner is stunning. I would buy it instead of a 4-liner and also price is great.

It's whatever you want, 2 line versus 4 line. Some prefer 2, others 4. That's probably not a bad price if it has been serviced recently, which it probably has not. With those hollow link bracelets, you need to see how much stretch there is.

FWIW, I prefer the look of the 4 line.

Odds are that it's never been serviced and it's about due for one, at 12 years old. Budget for that and see if you can still afford the watch.

Boxes and papers are worth less and less the older the watch is. You can buy boxes, and if you get it serviced at a Rolex center, you'll get a new warranty card, which is well worth the cost of the service if you plan to resell the watch down the road.

Two-line over four-line any day of the week. Buy it now.

Having owned both the 2 & 4 liner versions along with the 114060 I would go for the 2 line 5 digit reference any day of the week...this looks to be a very solid example at a great price...I would most definitely go for it

I've had the 14060 2 liner twice,4 liner 3 times and 114060 6 times. So you could say the sub no date is my favorite watch.Enjoy it as it's a great piece.
