New watch from DavidSW is here!

So I posted last week that I flipped my 116300 DJII for something more classic. I liked the DJII because it was a little flashy with the polished center links, case, and roman numerals. I liked how it sparkled in the sunlight. Unfortunately, however, I was a little underwhelmed with it and kept finding myself looking at the sport models every chance I had.

A few weeks ago my dad took me to help him pick out a watch and he went with a two-tone white face daytona. While we were at our local AD, I tried on a bunch of watches: date and no date sub, two-tone sub, blnr, two-tone gmt, and blue face yachtmaster. I decided I really like the two-tone sub but it's too much for me to spend right now (being a second year law student) so I decided to get, what I consider to be, the most classic Rolex model: the no date submariner! I figured I can keep this watch forever and sometime later into my career I can get the two-tone sub/gmt. Anyway, onto the pictures:

DJII:

Sub:

Some final thoughts:
(1) DavidSW was great to work with and I will absolutely be buying my next watch from him.
(2) I really like the concept of the glidelock clasp but it's hard to get the sliding piece to sit in the clasp perfectly. I have to play with it slightly to get it to lay perfectly flat.
(3) I'm disappointed with the lume. It's not as bright as some of the pictures represent and it only lasts a few minutes. I hope if I spend considerable time outside, the lume will be brighter and last longer, but 15-20 minutes in directly sunlight should be enough to fully charge it.
(4) I wish the crystal had an AR coating (but I thought that about the DJII also)

Congrats on the Sub.
The Glidelock has notches so you need to be in a notch for the bracelet to sit flat. It's not really clear where it needs to sit to be "in" a notch, but you get the feel of it after a while.
And yeah, the lume is hardly impressive. So it goes.
