FS: 1959 Jaeger-LeCoultre Deep Sea Alarm US Edition
FS: 1959 Jaeger-LeCoultre Deep Sea Alarm US Edition
Serial #: 84X,XXX Case / Bracelet: The case has wear from use. The bezel insert printing and numbers are mostly worn off with age. The watch comes with a new grey Nato Strap. The watch is from the original owners son. The original owner was in the special forces and wore the watch on every mission he went on. Dial: Deep Sea Alarm US Edition Dial with patina from age. The makers and hand luminous material are original and still glow when subjected to intense light. From Hodinkee " Known by few, it was the brand's first alarmed diving watch, introduced in 1959 in two dial variations - one for the US market and another for the European market. The Deep Sea Alarm was built for two years only and in very small numbers, most JLC literature says around 950 pieces, for both the US and European editions combined. Few have survived, probably due to the environment for which it was built, and while the JLC revived the Deep Sea Alarm concept this year with two new faithtful recreations, there is nothing like an original." Accessories: The watch was serviced in house and all the old pieces are included with the watch. The watch is running at COSC spec and has just been fully serviced. Offered at: $27,850 Feel free to call me at (415) 260-9129 or email me at [email protected] with any questions that you may have. I am an IWJG member in good standing. References upon request.
