116610 Ceramic Bezel Damage??
I am looking at a preowned 116610 from a local reputable dealer. The markings on the bezel appear to be damaged in 2 spots, one the "0" of the 20 and the other on the tick between 40 and 50. I have tried to capture this on the attached pictures. I am not sure if the bezel numbers and markings are painted or inlayed with aluminium. Is this normal wear or cause for concern?
On another note, I can purchase the watch for $6250 after tax. It has been for several years but overall seems to be in good shape and random serial number model. It was serviced a few years ago by a non-Rolex entity. Any cause for concern here? The watch comes with box and no warranty card or papers and carries a 1 year warranty at the shop. |

Pass
I would recomend contacting DavidSW and talk to him. You will not be disappointed. Just a bit more but a much better 116610LN. His will have papers and no damage on the bezel.

Why two threads for the same question and topic?
Decent price, but save a little more and get yourself a better conditioned piece for not much more money. SS Rolex don't offer much in discounts, so might as well look for a mint or very good condition example. |

I don't think it's a good deal considering the fact that it doesn't come with boxes or papers + it was serviced by a non RSC, meaning that you may have to take into consideration further costs to service the watch in the future.
Why not go with a trusted seller here, as others have suggested? You would be able to get one with papers and possibly even get one with factory warranty remaining for an extra $5-600. IMO going with one of the trusted sellers here may end up being more cost-effective in the long run, as you will most likely have a hard time selling one without papers and dubious service history. Furthermore, if you are concerned about the damage to the ceramic bezel and decide to replace it later, it would probably cost more than the extra $$ you would be paying purchasing from a trusted seller on the forum. |

0h that's an interesting question.
I bought brand new submariner for $6800 - just the watch and card. Find a better deal and buy new. |
