Replacement Bracelet Cost?
Hello,
My two toned (18k and SS) jubilee bracelet on my 1992 GMT Master II is pretty stretched out. I've read here about Michael Youngs restorations and am intrigued. Can anyone give me an idea on the approximate cost of a new replacement bracelet for comparison? Thanks! Tom |

Maybe $500-$750 depending on the condition of the bracelet.

That may be a bit low for a pristine 18k/SS jubilee. To get a low stretch band will be in the 1500+ range. Crapped out ones will be lower of course but you already have one of those.

Then you have to consider that the bracelet code might not match up with the serial number of your head. This is unless you are willing to try to source one that is from the same approximate year of your head that is also in better condition. This might not bother you though. Just a thought.

Replacement two-tone jubliees are plentiful and not that expensive but the GMT takes a special version to fit the 2mm springbars as opposed to 1.8mm for the datejust. You can tell the correct bracelets because the last link, the one nearest the watch head, will be stamped "50". It would not surprise me to spend $1200-1500 for a proper, excellent condition used bracelet and probably more like double that amount for brand new from Rolex. You could always retain the clasp/blades from your existing bracelet if keeping the original date stamp code is important to you.

Yeah, old bracelet to MY worked out a whole lot cheaper for me than what Rolex wanted for a 93150. Not far off half, IIRC, but the CAD was worth more then

Send it to MY. When you get it back next year, it'll be tighter than a new one.
