1675 vs. 16750 hand set differences
Hi all,
Looking to source a set of hands for my recently acquired 1675 and came across a set of hands that the seller says are for a 16750. I can't spot any differences but I wanted double check with you fine folks on the forums. I know the hand stack order is different from the 1675 to the 16750 but does that have an impact on the actual hands themselves? Thanks everybody! |

If it works and looks good. Why change it?

Okay thanks guys. I had a feeling they wouldn't be interchangeable. Good thing I verified with ya'll beforehand. The reason I want to change the hands is because the previous owner had relumed them and done a poor job.

I just want to clarify... these hands are not interchangeable then? They look so strikingly similar! Are the base of the hands sized differently based on the different movements?

Look at the size of the opening where the hands attach to the post. If the hour hand has the largest opening then they are 16750 hands, if the GMT hand has the largest opening then they are 1675 hands.

Reviving an old thread.
I do understand that the stacks are different between 1675 and 16750. But since Minute hand is the 3rd stack, can the minute hand on 1675 be used on 16750 and vice versa? |

None of the 1675 or 16750 hands are interchangeable.

Thanks Jon for the quick reply. I have a further query. I noticed that the hands/markers on matte 16750 in 7 mil serial don't grow under UV. Is that a norm? At the same time, I have also seen hands from 16750 that glow under UV. I wonder why? |

The photo shows the non-installed minute hand glows under UV, while the hour hand/markers on watch do not glow under UV. |

The hand on the right that glows is a later replacement hand.
