FS: 1970 Tudor Snowflake Ref. 7021 Patina
Dial: A service tritium replacement. (common for early original dry rot dials to be replaced) (light scratches and marks on the dial)
Hands: Original snowflake hands (color-matched relumed) Crown: Original Rolex twin lock crown Bezel: Original MKII "Long 5" insert Model: 7021/0 (crisp and clear) Serial: 760696 (crisp and clear) Case-back (IV. 70, Third quarter of 1970) Year: 1970 Date wheel: Original roulette red/black Movement: Tudor signed ETA Caliber 2484 Bracelet: Vintage distressed leather strap in photos No box or papers. Service history is unknown but the watch is currently winding smooth and keeping good time. Notes: For your consideration we have a highly desirable early Snowflake Ref. 7021 from 1970. As it is commonly known by collectors that the early 7016/7021 Snowflakes had the dials that bubbled and dry rotted and because of this most of the early dials were replaced at some point with later tritium dials that were manufactured better. This dial while has its marks on it has a beautiful shade of patina and the dial has colored to a pleasant grey tone color that matches the MKII long 5 insert perfectly. The case on this 7021 is amazingly thick, possibly unpolished, crown guards even and the original chamfers are extremely well pronounced. What makes the 7021 special above the later 9411 snowflakes is that it came with roulette date wheel and this example has retained its original. Something about a snowflake with a red date that just sets it apart. This example while no safe queen has that charismatic vintage look and feel that just makes you love wearing it. Price: $8200.00 Fedex shipped and insured. Payment by bank wire. Please contact me direct at: [email protected] Best regards, David Thanks for looking. |
