That Submariner will be on offer - by me - very soon.
Many times I have surplus brand new watches that are extremely desirable and I am offering them mostly right here at TRF for my fellow members so they can take advantage of the very low prices I get, and consequently passing these low prices over to them.....I check often prices with other International and National sellers and I have to admit that... I am rather proud of myself.... ..My prices....are consistently lower than Swiss Luxury or Allan Furman or Any other on-line retailer. |

Swiss Luxury pics photo-shopped
The swiss luxury photos are photo shopped from their GMT pictures... (shadowing is they same and bezels/faces copied from old Sub).
They must be anticipating...

I bid $5001...
I'm still on the fence about this watch, AD has offered me their first but... I just don't know. It's not as bad as the DSSD, but it does seem more like a Womens watch (lots of women do wear the submariner) and this seems like it was made for them as an alternative to the yellow gold, since it is a bit "softer". See? |

I'll have to wait and see it.
I'm not a fan of the bigger lugs so I'm not going to make a decision or definitive comment on that.

Why is the WG version more than the YG version?

This is the new version with the updated clasp, block case, ceramic bezel, polished center links, etc. It is like the updated GMTIIc.
Everyone feel free to correct me if I am wrong on my facts.

IMO and from some research .750 Rolex white gold mix does not require Rhodium plating to enhance the finish and as such would be a more expensive mix than their .750 YG. Also, I think they use more YG than WG and this would make it more expensive.

That blue in the picture looks very different from one on Swiss Luxury or other images posted on TRF. Here is a link to another of the same watch:
http://flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/photostream/ Its almost a Royal Blue shade.

The blue I saw in the 2008-9 Rolex catalog looked a lot better than the photos from Basel. I think everyone dismissed the "baby blue" Sub when we saw the Basel photos. I can't wait to see one in person. I also think we'll see some decent discounts on the all gold Subs pretty soon after the early adopters have cleared out. Me personally, I'm going to pass and wait for the SS. The idea of buffing off gold to polish a watch at service just doesn't sit right with me. Although, I am interested in seeing the new DDII/president.

I don't know about that, there is multiple poses at different zoom levels, seems like too much trouble to go through to make it in photoshop
I agree it looks different than in the Basel photos, it is definitely something you have to see in person. But I still claim it's a Women's watch |

Anastasios - keep the old Sub. Its beautiful.
Not yet sure about the new Sub - I don't like the larger lugs and I don't like polished centre links. I'll have to wait and see. |

I like the watch as pictured in the SL ad but it doesn't look anything like that in the flesh.
It's more like : or The price is a joke also.

That smurf blue is actually the closest version I have seen to the mock samples going around. Good find!
