116610LV (Hulk) vs. Explorer + Tudor BB

I currently own the Explorer 1 and a Tudor Black Bay black. I always loved the Hulk and stupidly declined to buy it in 2016 at my AD before the UK price increase.

I am very happy with my 2 watches but still love the 116610LV..I would call it my attainable grail,i.e. my favourite watch in my price range...would you make this trade?? FWIW the green dial is not an "obstacle" I am not bothered about colour / attire coordination...just happen to currently own 2 black dials.

Yes. Then try to get a bb 36 or bb 41 down the road

All 3 watches mentioned are superb in their own right. What are your options?Trade both + ££, one + ££....

I have an LVC and it is a stunning watch and can fully understand you regret the decision not to buy last year, especially considering the current market, as I say all are superb but the LVC is the best.

I wouldn't trade them both for the LV-C, as much as I love that watch.

The EXP is a keeper, IMO.

Thank you for all the replies and pictures, did not expect so many, great forum!!!

I did think about trading just 1 but the BB would not make it affordable enough, and trading the Explorer I would have 2 40mm dive watches in my 2 watch collection so rather keep it a bit mixed up. I like the idea of adding a 36mm Black Bay in the future as it would be a decent evening watch which I currently use the Exp for.

Guess I will think about it for a bit longer, FWIW it would be a pretty even swap if I did do it.

Thanks again..

Do it. The price of the Hulk will obly increaae in the future and you can trade it in easily when youre bored without losing money. The Tudor is depreciating every year for sure.

The OP's Black Bay Black will likely be appreciating if it's the short-run ETA. Even if not the ETA, it will be stable at least, not depreciating, IMO.

Although I have just finished my first week ever of wearing a 116610LV and my opinion maybe a bit biased, I would advise you to make the trade.

The green dial looks almost black most of the time.
The sub has great wrist presence and comfort. The watch is super accurate and if you love green (as I do) then it is a no-brainer.

For a long time I though "a green dial watch" is strange, who has ever done that before, its going to stand out like a wierd novelty watch.

Well not only has the 'green dial' stood the test of time now, but I can say from personal experience it really works well in any situation.

It's an incredible watch. I traded an explorer to consolidate a little bit before purchasing. I have never been more pleased with a watch.

I would do the trade as I think one watch that is a grail is better than two watches that are great. I would get the Hulk and wear it and enjoy it and then reflect on where you want the collection(future) to go. Save some money and pick up a nice Tudor or Omega in the second hand market to complement the Hulk.
