Trade my Bluesy for a Roger Dubuis, JLC or Daytona?

Thanks to everyone who replied to my original thread last week ("9 months review of a 116613LB https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=539340

But I think the time has come, luxury watches are great but it is too much of a "luxury" to have a watch lying around that you would wear only 3 times a month on average.

So, I have come up with the following criteria:
1) The watch needs to be steel
2) needs to have a white dial
3) preferably on bracelet but also a watch which matches well with straps (brown, black or even blue)
4) versatile enough so I can wear to work, be dressy or casual

So, at the moment I have a Piaget which is a flyback chromo, 2nd timezone and date. But with black dial, I think the next one needs to be white preferable. Blue I had and now will trade - the Piaget I cannot change the strap so my next piece I want to have this option.

So these would be:

RD Excalibur - HK$146,000 but can get for probably 40% discount.

Master geographic by JLC - I do like the black dial slightly better but it's too similar to my Piaget

well, the white daytona. I've always thought of this as a bit dull but recently it has grown on me a bit more. But then I am someone who likes to make less obvious choices and to wear something that few people have, and this watch is going to be a common occurrence here in HK

Thanks so far for the replies - I guess I knew the Daytona would get the majority of votes on this forum but how about the Roger dubuis? I do think this model has a great design, fantastic movement and really one of the best bracelets on the market

It will be forgotten about in a year or two and if you get sick of it, you will never be able to sell it.

Bracelet and movement aside, that RD is possibly one of the ugliest watches I've ever seen. That is of course just my opinion.

Ask yourself why you bought the 116613LB. What appealed to you about it?

I'm not a fan of the white daytona either - much prefering the racing bezel of the PM variants (PM or ceramic).

My vote goes for an all steel sub or polar explorer if you like the white dial.

but its your wrist, your taste and your money

Only one horse in this race and that is the Daytona.

If you are thinking Ceramic Daytona, I could see switching. If you are going for regular white dial Daytona, I would rather have the bluesy. Why not put the Bluesy on a blue Everest?

I should emphasise that my taste is to go for something a bit 'different' so a regular steel sub or polar explorer wouldn't fit the bill.

I did try the Vacheron Dual time yesterday and was quite surprised, confirmed with some grey dealers the white daytona is almost as rare as finding the ceramic daytona these days as people just aren't trading it in.

I like the RD - looks like a handsome watch that is definitely unique with lot's of style. For me the Daytona dials are too small to be of any use and the watch is also small. Not my cup of tea. Go for the RD.

Sorry Sir but none of your selection actually tugs at my heartstrings.

But 0ne truly Outstanding timepiece with that iconic Gerald Genta integrated styling bracelet actually fulfills all 4 criterias perfectly. This 70s classic also happens to be a real favourite among members of the Omega Forum.
That bracelet is so incredibly beautiful in the flesh and really...internet photos dont do justice at all to IWC Ingenieur Ref 3239

Daytona, but the one pictured is not the current model with ceramic bezel. Both models are great.

What about an AP Royal Oak with a silver dial? Looks amazing on straps and the bracelet is stunning. Another one to consider is the white dial Vacheron Overseas. Again, on the bracelet it's killer, but equally as attractive on the rubber/leather straps. I'm not a huge fan of that Daytona... strikes me as a bit dull personally. Good luck!

No reason you cannot wear the TT Sub as a daily, just saying, but sounds like your mind is made up.

I would not trade your 6 digit Bluesy for any of them. Keep the sub - its better looking than all of the 3 options.
