rolex 16610LV M series lime bezel

Dear all,
I am new to this forum, and new to the rolex world.
I was a hardcore panerai guy until a couple of years and fell out of love. Had other brands (such as JLC, IWC), until I stepped into a non AD store specialized in Rolex only a couple of years ago. Then and there, I got smitten.
I had a gmt 16700, then moved to a sub 16800 matt dial. been looking for a gmt 16750 matt dial until I came accross the 16610LV.

There I knew I found what I was looking for; to make a long story short, my hunt for a NOS led to me find a 16610LV with a lime bezel non flat four; series is a low M (2008).

since then, I am afraid of dinging the bezel;

my questions:

- anyone else have an M with a lime bezel?
- do you recommend I swap the bezel insert, and store that one?

Thanks a lot for your feedback.

best-

The lime bezel is awesome. Rarer too. I've only seen one. Years ago a Y serial at a grey in Tokyo. Man, I wish I would have bought that.

I have owned a Z and currently own a M and a V serial number. All with the darker green bezel.

You having one on a M is pretty cool. Would love to see pictures.

I would not swap it out to protect it. I would wear it proudly. Welcome to the Forum as well.

If you are going to wear it, wear it.

What is the point of taking it off and putting it in the closet.

You can swap it for a different green or black bezel easily, but if you like the one you have wear it.
I've beaten the hell out of my 16610 for over six years and the bezel is perfect still.
These crappy little cheap aluminum inserts are tougher than these new age ceramic minded guys think

Holy moly. How have I just now learned about these lime bezels? I've seen the 16610LVs before, but I didn't know they have variations in color.

I'd love to know this too. Prior to this thread I would have said Y and early Fs maybe but an M. Interesting and random.

All,
thanks for this; I am reassured now. I read on a Japanese website that they were few limey bezels floating around in the D, V, Z and M serial. Just that I did not see one in the flesh other than mine.
I walked in a famous vintage rolex shop in SHinjuku which had 2 darker bezel, and comparing them to mine, the color was clearly different.

I don't plan on changing the bezel. This thing looks so gorgeous, that I want a second one to store, and be able to wear it should something happen to this one.
Funny how things work, been looking for a birth year 1675 GMT (1968) or a 16750 with Matte dial; I found both this week, and did not give them a second look; don't know how long the love story will last but I'm happy i found THE rolex for me.

@ Gaijin, the color does not appear to be faded green.

Been busy, but will try and take a picture over the WE.
cheers Rafteur

Wear it proudly, don't swap and store.

The later mkIII mkIV are in darker shades of green, the original 2003 mkI flat 4 (true lime) is the most collectable.

Mesmerizing. Love it. You have good taste. To wear or save...if lime replacement bezels are available, the choice becomes easier.

Been looking into getting hold of the LV myself. Now this one is the one I want after seeing your pics. It looks magnificent in lime, a truly handsome watch.

Keep hold of that one.

While green is my favorite color, I never got the whole green Sub thing. Maybe my tastes in watches is hopelessly conventional but I prefer the classic black on SS for all watches, save for my GMT2 Pepsi. I suppose we all need an outlier.
