That's very interesting. I had no idea Rolex were longstanding funding partners with Nat Geo. I remember reading National Geographic when I was a kid and marvelling at the photographs, which, in a pre-TV and internet era, were beyond imagination for a kid.

I kind of always assumed it... My brother got a perpetual subscription in the 70s and I still remember clearly the Rolex ads in the magazines back then and it formed my taste for watches.
