What are your thoughts on the two tone BB date?

On leather.... went to my ad to inquire about a hulk today but came away slightly ina enamored with this guy. The "flat" gold is my kind of gold. Add in the date and that leather strap and the look is solid even though I'm not typically a fan of a dive watch on leather... thoughts???

It's gorgeous. A TT that is perhaps a bit more casual than the Rolex TT Subs. A unique blend of elegance and workmanlike-ness. After the Pelagos, this would be my next buy.

Retails for 3750 I believe it was. Hell of a deal compared to a two tone sub. It might be a great companion to my BBN, BLNR, and decent stop gap for the outgoing EXP II. Hmm....

To me the strap also gave it a much younger vibe as opposed to the two tone bracelet

Agreed. On leather, it would be very fitting with jeans and an untucked shirt.

And saves the pocketbook quite a load. Not sure how much gold is in the cap on the bracelet, but it is apparently priced like Rolex gold.

Like it on the strap.

The steel is a bad ass watch on the strap. On the bracelet it is almost too much SS.

Great observation! The brown definitely harmonizes with the bezel and accentuates the gold.

The gold capping should be thick enough to warrant no worries on it ever wearing thru...

Funny, I looked at the steel too. It was overkill for me. Stainless everywhere and the glare under the ad's lights blinded me. Not as successful as a EXPII at all in that dept

Man, that is one good looking watch.

What AD were you at? And most importantly...please tell me you bought that.

Absolutely LOVE it! In fact, I liked it so much I placed an order with my AD after it was announced and I picked it up about a month ago. I did a small review here:

https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=540628

I'd go with the bracelet option though....they are quite a bit more money if purchased separately from the watch, learned that lesson with my Ranger.

I like it. However, if a Hulk is maybe in the budget as you say, I would consider getting the Rolex SubC (green or black) and buying a couple leather straps and switching between bracelet and straps on the SubC depending on your mood. Some people think changing straps on watches is a PITA, I don't mind it (though I also like fiddling with and manually winding my watches so clearly I am sick in the head). Also, shopping for new straps is easier on the wallet when I want a different look vs committing to buying a whole new watch.

TL;DR I'm a fan of Tudor and the Black Bay, but if a Rolex SubC is in the budget, I think the SubC is a much better watch and at least a much better first watch between the two.

Good looking watch but I probably would not be swayed to open my wallet. Not sure I would have a need to this particular combination.

This a best looking Tudor. However, i prefer it on TT bracelet. I have only once concern that middle link is not from solid gold but heavy gold plated. In reality taht might not have any difference but knowing that you are wearing a bit more gold has sone internal satisfaction to me.

Pretty much takes away the gold-plating stigma.... but to dive, it would be better on rubber.

Not sure why, but it works on leather better than a bluesy. Nice watch.
