True but platinum is the noblest of metals. On the other hand I have far more platinums in the collection than RG.

A very tough choice. I have wrestled for weeks over the decision.

PT all the way. Don't like the FC bezel on the RG. I do like how the RG has stylish cutaway engraving on the shoulders that match the plots. Don't know why they skipped that on the PT version.

Big congrats either way! Love this ROO line. The Ti is high on my one day wish list.

Ceramic bezel switch on the RG is possible. Would that change your mind?

Fair enough. Would you care to elaborate? Very interested in all opinions.

Sorry it might have sounded a bit annoying, wasn't my intention. It's an amazing watch no doubt about that, but i find the dial really busy and clustered, lacks a bit of harmony between the different functions and story the watch tells. If you really want the model, i would personally take the red gold if i really had to have this watch. Having seen many of your pieces throughout your posts i wouldn't have thought you would pick this piece.

to me the lack of symmetry and the inconsistent balance of the dial is what makes it so compelling.

Kind of like the Patek 5712. Although these AP's are on a different level than that particular Patek, that is the best example i can think of off the top of my head on non symmetrical/unbalanced dials being very nice.

Appreciate the comments and see where you are coming from entirely. Not annoying at all don't worry.

I have thought long and hard about this and have compared extensively to the other 44 ROO tourbillon chronos (26348 and 26407 and 26540). The ceramic bezel was a must, so that narrowed the options considerably and I wanted manual wind as well. Ali Bin Ali version would have been perfect if in a precious metal!

You're a Pt guy, Roger. Clearly, that's the choice!

Keen to see your collection actually. The bezel on he RG looks interesting and could be a conversation starter.

I really like the RG. Both watches are great and they are quite different for basically the same watch in different metals, which is good.

I like the cutouts on the case on the RG, love the FC bezel. Not wild about the leather strap though but that is an easy fix.

At least in pics it appears to me that the black dial adds more depth to the dial vs the blue and really brings out the visual elements of the turbillion and the open worked elements.

RG isn't in the current collection anymore right? I think the Pt is though. That would make the RG a bit more desirable to me i think.

All great points! The platinum actually has a slightly modernised version of the movement and they have made the architecture of the rear view a bit more symmetrical. Picture credit ablogtowatch and Purists.

Knowing that you'd prefer some heft on your wrist, I would suggest the PT is the one to go Roger. Anyway, I had always tend to prefer PT over gold, but in this case I must admit that the cutouts on the RG case do give some visual enhancements.

PT of course on this one, I saw it in real, with the TI also, just not the RG, but the salesperson at the AP Boutique told me that many clients gave it back because it is too top heavy, but I think you should be ok with the other top heavy pieces you have

The deployant on these models helps balance the weight of both a little but yes they are top heavy for sure.

Both are incredible but for me I would take the RG over the PT.
