Insurance Question
I was talking to a friend of mine, the comment was interesting. Why have watches and/or jewelry on your homeowner's policy? Why not have a separate policy, aside from the homeowner's, this way, if a claim has to be made, it does not place the house at risk, or policy at risk, for future surcharges or cancellations.
It was a good question, and got me thinking. Do policies like that exist, specifically for watches and jewelry, that protect against loss due to theft, fire, flood, or other ways? |

yes they do and i keep mine separate from homeowners for this reason even if adding it to homeowners is cheaper, which it usually is.

Related question:
Considering the added value of original box and papers, if these were ever lost or destroyed by fire, house pet, or deranged spouse, would JM pay a partial claim? (or would they consider that WIS lunacy?) |

Good question, I'd say WIS lunacy though.
