Best dress watch under 5,000$ ?

So I sold all my watches and decided to only keep two. My everyday watch, my SD43(which I LOVE). And I need your help choosing my 2nd watch. It can be any brand. As long as it's under 5,000$ Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

Hmm lot of good options.

SS Reverso would be appealing as previously mentioned.

Older DJ with holes case on elegant leather is always a favorite of mine, TT always a good option.

New DJ or OP for a dressy/sporty hybrid.

If you want something new and affordable Nomos does some great dress watches for god prices.

I would get a pre owned IWC Portuguese or Rolex Datejust 36mm.

Gold? Stainless? Strap? What have you looked at? What do you like?

I honestly don't know. I like the quality and look of IWC or maybe a Cartier tank on a leather strap.

Any of the OP's. Rhodium or blue, would be my choice of color.

+1 on the Reverso (if you can find one at that price, which I think you may be able to). That plus the Sea Dweller is an unimpeachable two watch collection.

I'm not a fan of the reverso. I just simply don't get it. Anyhow, I do really like the ultra thin Jaeger Lecoutre. The SS versions should be within the $5k mark.

I also really love the IWC Portuguese.

I'm not a fan of any Cartier watch.

It's not a traditional dress watch but the new DJ41 would make for a wonderful "suit" watch. The price is a little bit past budget, but the smooth bezel version preowned might be feasible.

It was designed for polo players what is the reason you don't get it?

I think this, but don't buy new. Buy second hand. I don't know the seller so do your homework. But here it is at half of retail...(edit:just noticed this ones quartz, not sure it'll effect things. Does me for a little bit...)

Paying retail for a Cartier is a fools errand.

Yep.

Maybe this one??

Or this one.

Both under $3800 and worth much more. Great value with Nomos.

Rolex OP or Nomos are both great options.

Actually don't care for that Seiko for other reasons as well, but a dress watch it's not.
