Comic-Con and Rolex spotting

Ok sorry flame suit on for no pics but...

Went over to comi con this weekend and boy were there some watches! I saw a few 16610s, YM, TT sub, Off Shore. Anyone else happen to be in San Diego this weekend?

Negative. I saw some viral video of Halle berry chugging a half pint of whiskey though

(Presumably apple juice)

I try to avoid downtown this weekend. Way too crowded for me. Took the train down for opening day at Del Mar and I guess it was the early opening for Comic-Con...never do that again.

I live in San Diego... does that count?

I'm avoiding downtown all weekend though.

Comi con - a bigger nerd fest than TRF. I wonder if there is a forum somewhere asking if it's safe to wear a batman suit in the shower or highlighting complaints about scratches to a Superman cape.

There was a TRF GTG in San Diego yesterday. Check the Meeting Point section.

Darn it! I check the GTG section from time to time but haven't in a few weeks.

Sorry I missed out.

I'm surprised you saw any watches at all, let alone ROLEX.

You know I was talking to my wife about the watches I saw... then I got to thinking...

People at comic con are considered "nerds" so why not have a decent "nerdy" career that pays well enough to afford a decent watch? You can never judge a comic book by its cover!

There are some very wealthy people that go to comic-con. Studio heads, actors, and nerdy business men (one of my business partners included). We have an office in Carlsbad and there was a significant increase in the number of private planes/corp jets there during comic-con.

It's just that the predominant attendee to these cons are millennials and they don't care about luxury watches in any way what so ever....

Yeah, must admit I was thinking that myself. Wouldn't have expected to see any Rolex.

The predominant attendee to Comic con is actually aged between 30 - 49.
