I think I'm preferring 5 digits....
Ok after picking up a Kermit the other week I'm thinking I prefer the 5 digit subs... so after a bit of deliberation and advice from the lovely lads on here my new 2 additions.
I swapped my old day date for the pair .. and before anyone freaks out saying you swapped a PM watch I still have a 116618ln solid gold ceramic so that spot is still taken by it..... and the SD4K fills that "best of both worlds" case Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Very nice!
Be careful, you may be swapping that 116618 for a 16618!

I tried many 5 & 6 digit Subs before buying a 16610LN last week. You know all the reasons for and against either, but for me the older model is more faithful to the original. Others will embrace the change to the new look and materials.
My OP DJ hasn't been worn since. Sad. |

I'm with you, Canook. Recently I've come to appreciate the 5 digit models
all over again. Great collection you've got there! Here are my two. |

I prefer 5 digit models over their 6 digit counterparts as well, so you're in good company. ;)

Congrats, on the incomings!
I own 4, 5, and 6 digit Subs, but may be in the minority in that I think the 6 digit is the closest to matching the rectangular look cases of the early 6204 and 05s. I like how each series is slightly different and would be happy owning all. |

5 digits are great. And you also have 6 digits and "in between" with the SDc, so what's not to like.

Great looking bunch. Only 4 digits for me. Everything else is too big and chunky.
Have you tried a nice 1675 or 1680? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm with JC....4 digits for me, however, I do have a couple 5 digits and would always prefer 5 to 6 digits, regardless of the "upgrades" to the bracelet...I'll take that old tuna can clasp any day of the week

I much prefer the 6 digits to the 5 digits but that's just me. The upgrades alone are worth it, though I also prefer the aesthetic look of the newer 6 digits.

Nice trio. A good next step in the right direction (plexi) would be a 5513, maybe a later one if you're about tentative about vintage.

5 digits for me too. Not a fan of the block case, thick crown guards or blingy ceramic bezels.

Daytona and SD4K are the only 6 digits I'd touch with a bargepole.. Unless it was an unbelieveable deal perhaps, but then I'd be wary as the fakers have the SubCs to a tee. Right down to the amazing clasp. I just don't even look at them anymore. Always makes me titter when people cite the clasp alone as being what makes the SubC worth it over its slimmer older sister.

6 to 5 to 4 is a natural progression of the true enthusiast.
