Price increase

Just heard there's going to be a Rolex price increase in the Uk either start of August or the start of next month?

One is coming in the next few months I think most of us are expecting, so I guess not a bad idea to post for new or absent members to see and get a move on getting their Rolex before it. For those of us who are here most days, it's a tough gig but we'll take one for the team and have a laugh as the boys are clearly doing!

Not a problem IF YOU COULD BUY ONE !!!!!!!!!!! but you can't so lets strangle the market and have another price hike ? Did not mind the last price increase as it was due but this (if true) is a joke .Do we think the supply will increase along with the RRP ?

I kinda hope so for our friends across the pond. I'm thinking a price adjustment there could free up the supply into UK. From what I read on this forum, there are slim pickings over in England, especially the sport references. But who really knows.....

Very slim pickings in not just England. It's the whole UK including Scotland, wales and NI.

Subs etc do pop up, BLNR is even rarer and D-Blue and DaytonaC are in extremely short supply.

I think the price rise could well be unnoticed. You can't buy stock in uk anyway .....
Ill be miffed as im soon to get my 116500, and typically i always buy on the wrong side of a price hike.....

If it is only going up by 5%, and brings stock back tho, the greys might feel the pinch, cos they're currently selling at 5% over rrp as a minimum

No, they will be better off - they usually buy watches from the EU and after a rise here their watches will offer a greater discount against the UK RRP.

You say that they currently charge 5% over RRP as a minimum. This is not true. They charge over RRP only on those models hardest to find. On most other models they already offer between 8 and 20% discount.

I agree I picked up a New Sub 116613LB on the Grey Market in May 2016 for 7,800 British Pounds a considerable savings & in April of this year I picked up a New Daytona 116503 for 11,210 British Pounds from the same dealer in the UK another great saving. As there are no Grey Dealers in Dublin Ireland I took the Plane to the UK on both occasions to pick the Watches up in person. I reckon I saved about 3,500 to 4,000 Euros even taking the conversion rate & flights into account

If any price rise does happen I am not confident that any real change will be seen in the actual flow of the harder to get models into the AD's
