I'm about to pull the trigger - am I Nuts??

Hi All,

I had have owned several rolex models during the last few years (Submariner ND, Explorer ii Polar, Submariner LN -Date, Submariner LV, DaytonaC 116500LN, GMT MASTER BLNR and Deepsea Blue).

Currently, I only have the BLNR and LV.
Unfortunately, I sold my Deeepsea Blue to finance the DaytonaC 116500 (D-Blue was very easy to sell it).

After +/-4 months, I got bored of the DaytonaC LN and sold it with a profit.

I think the only Rolex I really really loved was the D-Blue. It's the only watch I ever missed.

I'm now considering to sell my LV and BLNR and only get and keep the D-Blue.

What do you guys think? it's right or I'm just bored having too many in such of short period?

Need you professional advise and experiences

If you love the D-Blue, then get another one. But do you need to trade in both of your watches? I own the D-blue. it is nice and beautiful, but not for all occasions. Probably good idea to keep one of the two so you can switch around.

Yeah, I would just add the D Blue. The two references you have are great!

Yes.

If you want it back, buy it, but keep the others one and see if you really do want to get rid of them. If so, fine, sell them. It's just "stuff".

I love that last line! I'm going to say that to myself every time I sell a watch.

I'm afraid I only have questions in response to your question.

How much did you really love the D-Blue considering you flipped it not long ago?

How do you know you won't miss either the BLNR, the Hulk or both, considering you didn't realise you'd miss the D-Blue until after you flipped it?

I would keep the BLNR and sell the Hulk. I think the BLNR is beautiful but I don't feel that way about the Hulk. I don't like the green. Just MHO of course.

I would keep both, both are unique in their own right. I'd much prefer to have these two in the collection to swap between than just the D-Blue.

I agree, sounds like you've danced a dance with them all, but this is the one you want to take home.

But I'd keep the LVc if possible.

I like better the Hulk than the BLNR, that being said I am gonna recommend to sell the Hulk add cash to buy the D-blue. So you end up with a diver and a GMT.

Only you know how you feel. That said I wouldn't rush into selling the LVC and BLNR straight away. Only because if you change your mind they are hard to come by and will likely cost you a little more cash to replace. Will the sale of the Daytona not fund the D Blue?? If so, add it and then give it time to see how you feel about the other 2.

I have all three but I would not make that trade. Not unless you're built like Dwayne Johnson

If you really really love the D-blue, then you should get it.

Otherwise, think about this:
LVC + BLNR = 1 diver + 1 GMT
or
D-blue = 1 diver + 0 GMT

Personally DBlue is too bulky for me, those two pieces you're thinking of trading give you nice balance.

For me, the right question is ... do you really like the Rolex watches or just the name. You sold almost every Rolex you had ..;-)

Exhale and keep those beauties

With all four you mention and your love I'd recommend

Deep blue and Daytona 500

What I'd keep of those four is

D500 and blnr

Sell the BLNR for the Deep Blue.

Both are still popular, but are BOTH descending in value somewhat....

The LV is an ascending watch. One of the few watches on the uptick. Hold on that one.

End of the day all this flipping of watches, if that is what you love doing then by all means go for it. We are all guilty of it.
If the D-Blue sings to you and you can trade both watches for it then go for it.

Props for acknowledging that the DaytonaC was boring though - it's so loved on this forum.

I wouldn't but then again I'm not a Sub lover to begin with. My advice is keep the BLNR GMT and wait it out.

I really admire the D-Blue.

However I'd never get rid of the BLNR, and since you made profit on your DaytonaC, I'd sell the LVc and add D-Blue.

However you've already had a D-Blue and flipped, so what makes this time different?

Thank you all for your advice- I don't know what it's but I just miss the gorgeous dial.
Probably I shall just add to the collection but I'm afraid Hulk and Batman won't have time outside of the box....
