Another scammer with AP 15300

https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=552045

This is the second scammer I've come across recently trying to offer a 15300 way undermarket. Probably a fake too but not sure.

Not sure how you can authenticate without a movement photo.
That model is the best faked case and dial I ever saw, only the movement can tell.

PS - I got NO idea if its a scam, but surprised no movement photo on an exhibition back and gold rotor

Adam I don't mean to be rude but this is the second time you have doubted my knowledge when it comes to AP's..

The watch in the photos is 100% authentic. The listing may be a scam as it's under priced by a good margin. Show me a fake 15300 that even comes close to the case thickness of that with a date disc that looks exactly like that. It doesn't exist buddy. 15400's on the other hand, yes, I agree, we may need to see a movement shot. Even those have a thicker case back than the genuine article, all of them, and it sticks out like a sore thumb. Just because you can't tell without a movement shot, it doesn't mean others can't.

I live within driving distance of the OPs location and offered to come meet him today with cash. He said he's on business until the weekend. It's a scam and if it's not I'll eat my boots with ketchup.

Then you should report him by clicking the small triangle at the bottom left of each post.

I can not, as the photos neither authenticate nor counterfeit it

Suggest you report

I've made the offer a few times. Usually I specify my red wings but seeing as this ones in the bag I'll make it some trickers

Hi Tom,

I also live within driving distance of the seller. I twice offered to do a face to face transaction but on both occasions, he has ignored them. So I too have a hunch this may be a scammer.

I've seen many 300 fakes and they don't look as good as this so I think it is real. I am very aware there was no movement pic so if the watch is underpriced I doubt you will get sent a real watch anyway as that would be too easy to compare.

Thanks for the confirmation Adam. This is the second 15300 scammer with a price just under 10k I've come across in the past month or so. Probably the same guy.

Underpriced on a very liquid reference and a phone number or outside email is always a hint. Be careful guys

The price isn't too far off from what a friend of mine was offered on the jewelry district, 47th st in NYC. He was there to trade in his blue dial 15300st and the most he was offered was 9,500.

Yea i know.
Many of these members, here, buy very expensive, they don`t know how good and valuable is "secondary market".
A small price doesn`t mean 100% scam.

You'd be a fool to sell a watch with stone cold residuals like a 15300 at Vladdys diamonds.

It generally does here on the forum. Most who post for sale ads here have done their research and are informed sellers. If you have a good condition full set 1500 blue dial and you take 10k for it, you're leaving a great deal of money on the table.
