FS: 1991 GMT 16700. Pepsi insert, solid end links. Very original watch. $6600
FOR SALE:
A very nice and original GMT-MASTER 16700 (circa 1991 with X serial number) with a mint "Pepsi" insert, original tritium dial/hands and original, very tight, solid end link Oyster 93150 Oyster bracelet, all 12 links, with the correct "P" clasp date code and 501B end links. The case back still wears the original 16700 green sticker as observed in a photo below. Unlike other watches being offered for sale with later replacement bracelets, inserts or dials, this watch is very correct for the discriminating buyer. The case, lugs and crown guards are very, very nice and have probably had a light polish in the polish. The lugs still retain most of the original chamfers. There is no corrosion on the case, inner case or the areas between the lugs. The serial number and model number are clearly visible with very minimal signs of wear around these numbers. The watch was completely serviced this year and will be warrantied by my watchmaker until 12/31/17. (The buyer is responsible for all shipping expenses in the event it needs to be returned for a repair.) PRICE / SHIPPING /RETURNS Very reasonably priced at $6,600 plus wire fee/shipping. If you find a comparable or nicer example for less, I suggest you buy it. Returns are accepted within three days of receipt if the watch is not as described. EDIT: Mods, please bear with me for an early update due to members questioning the serial number, "black marks" on the case back, extra accessories, COSC specs, and other items regarding this GMT.
First off, the serial number begins with E, not X, which was a typo. The watch for sale is the watch depicted in the photos and the serial number begins with an E. The watch is local to Dallas and I have no further history. It wears a correct, original, blue back bezel insert, correct tritium dial and tritium hands as well as the correct bracelet and end links. The watch was probably sold new during 1992 based on the serial number. On the case back photo that depicts the green sticker, on the right outer lip of the case is a black line or mark which is "crud." I never saw it when taking the photo. Below is a photo of the case back after it has been cleaned of the "crud." The watch is running within COSC specifications, there are no issues with the movement and it is warranty until 12/31/17, by my watchmaker. I've had four messages regarding accessories, box/papers etc. There are no extras, no box, no warranty paper no hang tag, and no booklets. There are NO extras, just a super clean GMT 16700 watch.
