Something I'd Love to See

Hi all! Fairly new to the forums, so please forgive me if this is something that's been discussed before.

I've been looking at the GMTIIc a lot lately - both the classic black and the BLNR. I recently purchased my first Rolex, the 114060 (thanks Davidsw), and don't have any intention of adding another piece my collection anytime soon, if ever. But that hasn't stopped me from speculating. While I think both SS versions of the GMTIIc are beautiful in their own ways, what I'd really love to see is a black and green bezel model. I'm thinking a nice, dark forest green - not quite so bright like the Hulk. It would retain the green gmt hand and writing that the current all-black model has, but I think that touch of green in the bezel would give it a really subtle splash of character. I imagine it would be even more subdued than the BLNR, which I've come to understand can almost look entirely black in certain lighting. And just for the sake of argument, lets throw the BCL's on it instead of the PCL's...Honestly, I'd consider flipping for this.

What do you guys think? Would you want to see this one day, too? Also, what would it's nickname be? I'm thinking "The Riddler."

Personally don't see it happening but I also did not see the BLNR happening. Back then, I thought that Rolex would release the Coke or Pepsi version in SS to mimic the 16710, not a black and blue bezel. I think the black and blue also represent day and night if I'm not mistaken for the BLNR, so we would need to think of something cool for the green to represent :)

With Rolex, they are always full of surprises! It's part of what makes me such a huge fan of the brand. Always look forward to March every year.

I'd rather see a SS version of the Pepsi GMT

Just wanted to resurface this thread (the first one I ever started on TRF) to say…I told you so! haha. It may not be exactly how I envisioned it, but generally speaking I called it.

The first two responses haven’t aged well

Nice. Hopefully the next thing you'd love to see is actual availability at ADs.

Been longing to see that for years, but I don’t think even my clairvoyant skills are powerful enough for that lol.

I'd just like to see a watch in a display case that was actually for sale instead of being told: "Its not for sale, just on display."

If it’s any help, in my last few visits I have seen the odd DJ or OP.

Nothing like a trend though.

Nice! I’m going to try and extend your streak by saying I’d like to see them bring back an Explorer dial Sub next.

I’d like a yachtmaster 40, with the same colours as the yg ym2

Full yellow gold bracelet, white dial, blue bezel. Maybe a red seconds hand or line of red text somewhere would make it pop.
