Explorer I on rubber

Hey folks,
I am loving the explorer so much that I am planning to get some straps for it. Mine is the ref 114270 but I would like to get any ref if possible. Can you share some pictures of your rollies exp on rubber, or straps so I can see how it looks? Thanks! Cheers!

It was purchased directly from RubberB.com
They're pricey but the fit and comfort are top notch.

The Explorer 1 is the best looking Rolex on rubber. The sleekness of the rubber and the smooth polished bezel, narrow lugs and simple dial all complement each other so perfectly.

Love it.
Would Rubber B for SubC fit 39mm Explorer or they are different animals?

The Everest (competitor to RubberB) bands are interchangeable between the models according to Everest. So I would say yes.

Chinese Made is not competition to Swiss Made. Only one strap says where it is made in the rubber. Others do not dare. I am from the German-Suisse border, and we have a stubborn thing about craftsmanship. ;-) IMHO from Basel Bädischer

Some Rolex watches share the identical case. But we must pay attention to the mysterious "pin hole position". For such straps with hard plastic inserts, it would depend on that pin position as well. Not just the height, width and girth. I am sure that the strap companies would love to have the rolex calibration sheets. LOL It must be a task to obtain each watch to study the micro chiffres.

I recently purchased a 214270 new and a RubberB and am very happy with it. I like the way it wears especially as I swim frequently. The dealer installed it. I purchased the model that uses the bracelet clasp. My Pros - gives the watch a higher quality 'finish', clasp keeps the watch from rotating around the wrist. Cons - harder to install, harder to switch between the bracelet and RubberB, isn't adjustable. I went on the dealer's recommendation. I like it this way but the tang has some advantages. I have a loose fit which allows my wrist to swell (as it does in the hot climate I live in). Actually, I wore it for two weeks before having the strap cut, just to get a feel for it.

I would consider an Everest if buying with a tang - only because the strap holes are closer which allows a better fit. With a tang, I always seem to need a spot between two holes, the watch is loose enough to rotate or too tight.

I had a great experience buying from a small AD, both with price and extra services such as adjusting the RubberB. As a side, I like charging as I get extended warranty and Price Rewind, which is now saying I'll get another $160 off my watch.

Hi,

If I am not mistaken (I cannot remember if it was RubberB or Everest), I contacted the company and they told me that they did not offer any strap for the 36 mm Explorer. Make sure that it will fit yours.

Best regards,

Mr. Gonzalez

Here's mine. It's a 214270 on Everest with tang. The strap was purchased at an AD and was not specific to any model.

I know. I ruled out the Exp 1 a few times for various reasons, but every time I see it on a rubber it always jumps back into my "decision queue."
