This forum is a bad, bad place
Just a bunch of enables, arm-twisters, and crazy folks.
So, I got the watch that i fell in love with. No doubts about it. I am in love and I smile each time i look at my wrist. I mentioned in my intro post that my dad always wanted a Sea Dweller or a Sub. I mean, WHO DOESN'T, right? I've always wanted one too, but it was out of the question for two reasons: 1. Never wanted anyone to think i'm wearing my dad's/boyfriend's/husband's watch 2. Waaaaaay to big for my wrist, right? So i thought. In my recent quest, I even went to try on a Breitling Superocean II 36, but dismissed it right away as "too boyish," hard to explain, nice watch, but that really looked like i took my dad's watch for a spin. One of you mean enables recently posted a picture of gf/wife wearing a Sub and it looked amazing. I really tried hard NOT to look for that post again, but it was enough to put a bug in my head. I even asked this morning someone to post a picture, same situation, better half hogging the sub I mean, who doesn't want a Sub? My husband might divorce me if i come home with one, so i'll have to plan this well. Christmas is just around the corner. Might have to say no to that FX Nikon... Sigh. Anyhow, because you mean enablers don't stop posting gorgeous photos of your timepieces, I totally felt the pressure to try the sub/sd myself today, great time to spend a lunch on an office day. I went to Howard Frum that was recommended here a few days ago. Food is overrated anyway. Did i mention, bad folks here? Bad bad!!! So, I tried a Sub and a 40mm Sea Dweller. My heart rate increased by a bit I'm not at the 'which one' decision yet. Like i said, i'll have to plan this. What i really need to hear from you is "it looks horrible, it looks like you took your husband's watch, it's too big for you, that watch makes your butt looks huge" and all that kind of stuff. I won't be offended, promised. The kind Travis offered to take some pictures. Here they are. Please don't disappoint me. I need my sleep at night Thank you for your help! t. Disclaimer **I hope sarcasm is obvious in this post

That looks perfect IMHO, it fits you well. So now home and start prepare your husband. I'm pretty sure he will love it too.
Good luck.

Looks killer IMO. Tiny watches remind me too much of Grandma's watch these days. You've got style and your husband must be cool cat to have landed you.

I think that looks terrific on you. You look stylish and attractive ... I hope I look that good in one - I'm planning for my next as well and the Sub or SD are definitely on the list.

Seems fine on your wrist....but moving into a FX Nikon is equally as important IMO. Looks like a great Christmas coming up for you either way.

Congratulations OP, I think that does look great on your wrist.
Haha, I hear you my friend. The Nikon is not really the problem though, the Nikkor is where they get you...

I just pulled a trigger on 24-70 and a macro 105mm, to compliment the 55mm prime, so i just have to get it, right? I mean those lenses are just a waste with D5300... :D

Now you have to prepare both your husband and for FX.

That sure is some nice glass you got there. While I really am neither a full frame nor a "gotta have the biggest" snob, you certainly are right with respect to weight balance. Both the 105 (love that lens) and the 24-70 are somewhat heavy for a small camera body like that. On the other hand, if you really do use the 105 as a macro, the crop would actually work in your favor and you'd want to use the combo on a tripod anyway, so balancing the setup wouldn't really be an issue either. Just to say, no matter how you end up resolving this, getting the watch first definitely was the right choice ;)

That looks amazing on you. You NEED this watch! I would love to have a 40mm Sea Dweller as well. You should buy it right away as it's discontinued and won't last long at the shop.

I didn't understand something you said: Your husband might divorce you if you buy a Rolex?? That doesn't compute for me... it's usually the other way round.
Well, you aren't going to like this... but I think it looks very good. I think a Sub or Sub Date would also look great. What about an LV, the all green version Sub? Check out this link, this will help: http://www.rolexmagazine.com/search/...utiful%20Woman |

Enablers? Here? Surely you jest! By the way, I'd just like to say- Wow! That watch looks like it was made just to spend its existence on your wrist. It's quite possible you were in fact actually made just for each other. There may have never been, or ever will be, a better pairing than you and that exact watch. Not only does it not make your butt look bigger, it makes you and everyone you're in the room with look at least 10 years younger and 10lbs lighter. The colors are brighter in the world when you wear that watch and the forest animals gather around to gaze upon you and the watch. Angels sing when you look at your wrist to check the time. Passing that watch up could put you at risk for living the rest of your days in an empty, hollow existence that you would never forgive yourself for. That's just my opinion though, I'm sure you'll make the right choice. ;-)
Now if you'll excuse me I've got other people to not enable... |

Oh wait! I just saw that your husband may divorce you if you buy that Rolex! I'm sure you'll miss him. Sometimes.

He said, nope, he's happy with the Tag. And he really looked sexy wearing it. He tried on a deep blue and it was made for him. Thank you very much!

You rock that watch. tell your husband if he's nice, you'll let him borrow it once in a while.
Actually-- forget that. He's on his own. Subs are nice too congrats in advance

Surprisingly, I like it (although it doesn't match the nail polish). The Sea Dweller is an AWESOME watch!! I say o for it. And yes, this forum will absolutely do nothing to deter you from buying Rolex after Rolex :)
