Q re: ebay Rolex from Bob's
Yes, I am a newbie asking for help, never seen that before, eh? Anyway I spotted a Submariner 14060 on ebay that the seller says was from Bob's Watches but didn't meet his expectations, asking $5k. Looking at Bob's I see that none of the 14060's sell for less than $5695 - at least from what I've been able to find. Watch looks ok, includes papers and Bob's box but still red flags persists. Any advice on this one?

What is their eBay username? Exactly "bobswatches"?

Let me ask you this, is OK to post the link to ebay auctions? No, not Bobswatches.

If the watch didn't meet his expectations, why didn't he return it to Bob's Watches? If you post a link to the ebay auction someone here will give you an opinion of the watch (or outbid you).
If you do win the auction, you should have ebay and/or paypal buyer protection even if seller takes your money and runs. But is that worth the hassle, if you are not sure of the watch. |

BE VERY CAUTIOUS. Bobs offers 3 day returns on online sales and will buy back watches they sold at like 80% or close.
A quick tip. Don't do it. Just buy on TRF from like Takuya DavidSW, etc or from bobswatches.com and i would strongly recommend bobswatches.com. There is so much that can go wrong on ebay and so many things to look at, including aftermarket parts that you don't want to risk an ebay purchase if you aren't fairly well versed in rolex. |
