Favorite is a place in Shanghai called Yongfoo Elite
In the past, the building served as a consulate for the UK and Russia. Now it's a members club, but downstairs bar and upstairs restaurant are open to the public Restaurant staff did not speak English. All of the bar staff did, though I'll dig up some photos |

PF Changs opened near me. We went - once. There are many good authentic Chinese restaurants in Toronto, so PFs really didn't stand a chance. It closed within a year.

In UK the Good Earth chain is a high quality gourmet Chinese. Just wish they would do Peking Duck, which is where Imperial China shine.

Boston used to have a great chain of Chinese restaurants called Sally Ling's, really good food. The Heir apparent in the suburbs is a place called Bernard's in Chestnut hill. With an honorable mention to Jumbo Seafood also in the western burbs of Boston.

Probably not the most authentic place, but Panda Inn (the sit down version of Panda Express) is pretty awesome.

I ran Danny 83's query at work this morning and one guy mentioned Mr. Chau's. After the laughing and ridicule subsided, he mentioned that the food wasn't really all that bad providing you had a roll of Tums handy and easy access to a public restroom.

Tsim Chai Kee in HK...simple wontons/noodles, but man it hits the spot...
Xi'an Famous Foods in NYC, again, just simple delicious noodles. |

Here in the Bay Area Koi Palace in Daly City is probably the best IMO. Highly recommend.

I like PF Changs, But theres a local place called Wong Express that has the best beef stir fry. I weighed it once and I got close to 5 pounds of food for $11. absolutely delicious, not healthy at all though.
