UK Members - are ADs doing discount on PM?

Hello fellow UK'ers,

I am buying a new yellow gold Daytona for my fiancee, Ref 115208.

I have found one in EU from an AD for the equivalent of £24,100

This is obviously a little lower than the £25,500 list price in the UK - but if it is a good deal depends what sort of discount UK ADs are doing these days? I know about 6-12 months ago 10% was easily achievable, but is that still the case given the current state of things?

Thanks for any advice, hoping to get a deal done!

not much in london, especially if its a popular one. If its popular you are lucky just to find it.

You should be able to get 10% off YG Daytona, do you have AD you do business with?

You should aim for 20%-25% discount.

Couple of years ago 25% discount was possible from an AD. Discounts have got tightened following the Brexit. 15% should be obtainable easily from an AD out side London but aim for 20%

Thanks guys, I think I will leave this one I've found here (on vacation at the moment) and try and find a better deal back on home soil.

I did call my local AD who i've dealt with before but they have no stock of YG - and don't expect to get any soon either.

10 percent in London at an AD is about the best you can reasonably expect, but probably less. Its probably more out of the city.

Tried a gold sub on in a London AD. Retail at £25,500. Best discount was just over £23k. No discount if i wanted to finance. Not sure where people are getting 25% off pm pieces. Steel sports you will get no discount.

I london at the moment I also have only heard of 10% on PM. Out of cities in smaller ADs 15% is achievable if you have previous business with them not heard of anything better than 15% recently

I remember Sam, who is quite a wheeler dealer, could only get 10% off a DD40 last year so I think that would be the best now but if you're lucky. ADs are probably expecting a price rise too so not much incentive to give discounts.

Haha you referring to me

Been a while but from memory it’s was 10% on the WG D and 15% on the WG DD.

If you can't get the price down, no one can.

You lucky dog, RJ.

I got offered a yg DD40 for 21.75 new unworn any colour dial ,about 2 to 4 week wait, last feb, but I bailed on it. I have delt with this dealer for many years and bought a lot of watches from him, bit disapointed tbh.

I'm looking at a RG Daytona (in the US) is about 10% all I can expect?

(I'm still thinking of going the trusted seller route, and even maybe slightly used)

Interesting yg at Heathrow terminal 5 a couple of weeks ago on oyster flex. Can't see it on the Rolex website. Dial was more fancy, think it was bright yellow with black sub dials. They had never seen one before

You should expect no less than 25% discount with one of the big trusted sellers here for PM Rolex. This is what I was able to get. My local AD?, not even close to that.

I figured as much. It looks like if I get something 'like new' by a seller here its closer to ~40% off. And maybe a couple years old, but to my knowledge the RG Daytona's haven't changed in a long time so I wouldn't be losing any changes in the Daytona.

The black with yellow sub dials is listed but only under the full YG model.

As for the matte gold with black sub dials I’ve only seen it in images
