Value question for a vintage GMT Master

How much is a 1962 GMT Master with the Red and Blue Bezel worth? (No white gold surrounds).

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, not mine so no pics. I was talking watches with a guy I met today and he was telling me about the Rolex he has, which his father gave him. He was certain about the year of purchase because he still has the original receipt.

He says he insures it for around $4000 but based on my gut (hopefully correct) I told him $10,000 seemed more appropriate. In any event he had little interest in its worth, just a happy owner with no intent to sell.

By the way, thanks for your reply.

Thanks for the info. If there is a next time, I will be able to quote a more accurate price.

By the way, what is "pcg"?

Is PCG short for pointed crown guard? Did a google search and that seemed to fit.
