Reason for my absence

It is with a heavy heart for me to write this, my mom passed away 3 days ago on October 27. Doctor said it was pancreatic cancer in the late stage. I'm doing all the funeral arrangement right now in Thailand. The funeral is keeping me busy but when I'm alone I think of her every moment.

I've never liked sharing bad news with anyone but I feel like I've come to know TRF members on a personal level. I'll be absence for awhile and hopefully I'll recover and start posting normally again.

She was 72 when she passed and I knew that this day would come but no matter how much I tried to prepare myself for it, I could never overcome all the sadness and grief that goes along with losing someone that you love dearly.

Prayers sent Ed..
Went though similar with my mom, I still can't believe how quick she was diagnosed and within 3 weeks gone.

Think of her everyday, it's been 7 years and 21 days
If only we can turn turn that clock back

So sorry Ed. Lost my Mom on December 25, 2000. Still think about her almost every day. She also had cancer and was 49.

Every day it will get a little easier but the void will never completely fill, at least for me. My mom was a single mom when it was really taboo and did everything for me.

The best advice I can give is take it one day at a time and stop to think of the great memories you had with your mom often.
