That thing is outrageous.

And if I had the disposable income and garage space, I’d find a way to have one.

I friggin hate it. But I love it more.

When I bought my /// M6 I thought that 575 horsepower with the Competition Package, that goes 0-60 in just under 4.0 Seconds with a governed top speed of 155 Mph was Fast!

This Demon is Serious! No way that this is a daily driver like the /// M6 is...

For that price I'd get a GT-R and crush the Demon around the track.

Apples to oranges comparison. The Demon is meant for the drag strip, nothing more.

Exactly that.

Love the R. But it’s a different kind of animal.

I saw about 5 of them at Sema this year. It looks a little ungainly with the fender flares but I suppose they work to widen the track. They also put a small plaque on the supercharger that looks like Satan trying to escape out of the housing I can't believe it's the fastest car 0-60 being RWD with a million HP in this day and age of AWD cars with a million hp. That's the most impressive number to me about that car.

Wonder what the dealer markup will be on those. $50k? I'm guessing nobody will get them for anywhere near MSRP.

This might be one that you drive off the lot and gain 20% profit if you were to sell it right away!

Been reading about this car for awhile. The Auto News guys are wanting to ban it? Hilarious!

How did they come up with the claim that it "is so inherently dangerous."

I'm pretty sure teens with a smartphone in a Civic are a lot more, "inherently dangerous," than the Demon is. And do they have no clue how many modified cars are on the road pushing that much power or more? Yet, do we have an epidemic of high performance cars wrecking and/or causing wrecks?

guys on the "hellcat" forums are getting them for the 10k in range of stickers, same with the trackhawks. dodge is trying to control prices/greed on these crazy track cars.

So, you're at $95k minimum before tax, title and license.

I figure there are two kinds of buyers for this car.

A) Drag racers.
B) Speculators who will just hold onto the car and sell it, hopefully, for a profit in the future. Betting on its rarity to drive up the price over time... kind of like the Ford GT.

Nobody is going to use this car as a daily driver (it would probably make for a miserable commute). They'll take it to car shows, maybe run it down the strip once or twice and just use it on the weekends a few times a month.

The president where I work daily drives a hellcat. Rain or shine all year. I don't suspect he's using the "hot" version key though but I don't see why a demon couldn't be daily driven.
