Funny coincidence in the 'Rolex General Discussion'...

Just signed in to catch up on the happenings here and these two threads were next to each other and upon quick glance I thought it was the same thread...maybe it should be?

Buying my wife a Rolex made her very happy and freed me up for further purchases. So, no they don’t go together.

It was a joke. Sorry if I offended, was certainly not my intent.

Just like Abdullah said, I buy her something (purse, clutch, jelwelry, etc.) every time I buy a watch. I have to add a 20% premium to the price of my watch... that's why I always have to get a discount.

I have also bought watches for my wife...

If I let my GF borrow any of my watches, it would be either on fire or caught in the ceiling fan by the end of the day. She's not so careful with things. Edit: My cousin bought his wife a Rolex when they got married, one that she kept when they got divorced.

Funny joke.

I too have bought my wife watches. But still appreciate the humor.

They do in my house. I have tried Rolex, Tudor and others. All she wants is an Apple Watch or a Michele at the most.

The words "My Wife" & "Idiot" are not allowed in the same sentence, therefore two threads were created! Been slapped one too many times!

Could've told you they're lousy investments

For the more abstract thinking among us, that is certainly a humorous coincidence.
