Dumb date question

I have a dumb question. On my Submariner Date 116610, the date obviously read 31 today. If after noontime, I advance the date to the 1st, will it be sync and flip to the 2nd at midnight or will it be off by 12 hours?

I just stopped the movement and advanced the hands to flip the Date and set the correct time because I wasn’t sure, but it would be more convenient to just flip the date over if that will keep the am/pm in sync.

Thanks

If you just flip the date it will be in sync.

the time and date change was fine, it was just one day off because 30 vs. 31.
moving it from 31 to 1 doesn't affect anything else.

. . .
You can change your quick-set date at any time you want, it will never get out-of-sync unless you physically move the hands.

Good to know. This whole time I’ve been doing it wrong. Tried it on my day date yesterday and you guys are right. Make setting the watch so much easier.

Question :

So on march 1st the watch should display 29th. Should i manually set up the date on 1st or will the watch indicate 1st automatically?
Same for other months 31, 30, 31, etc.

Manually reset to correct date of the day.

Or if you're superprepared like a top Boy Scout, advance date to day before the night before... as long as you're not too close to the witching hour
