Trade or not trade......

I am getting that little itch again to buy something different so I am looking for some input on a decision I’m trying to make. I m thinking about trading my TT GMT Master II plus some cash for a close to new pre-owned TT Daytona with the Panda Dial. I seem to be drawn to that Panda dial. My GMT is a P serial number that I have had since about 2003. I own some SS pieces and just want to keep a TT in the stable. Would be interested in hearing some opinions on trading or just keeping what I own?

I would make sure I was not going to miss the date function.

X2

I also prefer the aesthetics of the GMT to the Daytona, but that's just personal preference

The deal is OK....would be better for you if it was closer to $5K on your end.

I love that dial, just not sure about it in the 2 tone reference. It is nice though...

But if you like it, green light money wise as they are both softer references since they are
2 tone. If you were trading a nice Pepsi for that Daytona....FULL STOP, NO.

Although I no longer care much for TT, I find the TT Daytona one of the nicest watches Rolex makes. They really stand out.

I’d find the GMT function and date more useful than a chrono, and I think the GMT is also better looking in these guises, so I say no trade.

I’m not huge fan of TT except for the SubC Smurf that I flipped and regret!! I’m not a big fan of chronos, so I’d keep the GMT.

What are your other steel pieces?

Huge panda fan here, but it would kind of depend on what else is in the collection.

Also have a SS Submariner, Panerai 1312 and a SS Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine chronograph

All great input. Almost thinking now to just keep it and continue saving for just an additional piece.

I like Daytonas, just not tt Daytonas. The all gold bezel is a bit much for me versus the black bezel insert on your tt GMT or tt Subs, which tones down the bling. I’d keep what you have.

I’m a Daytona fan and not big on GMTs but I wouldn’t make that trade. I’d sit on my hands for a bit longer if I were you, keep saving and see what happens after Basel 2018.

I have a GMT like yours, which I love, but when I purchased a Daytona, I thought it was to fussy in TT and had to go with SS.
