Did someone say Oysterflex?

I got a text from the guy at my AD that they had recently received a WG Oysterflex Daytona, and that I should come and check it out.

They had all 3 of the gold Oysterflex Daytonas in the showcase today:

Love the dial on the WG:

YG is also very attractive, and I typically hate YG watches:

RG also has a totally different personality, it manages to look very elegant on rubber. Shame about the dial legibility.

Between the three, the WG was my favourite by far, with the RG a distant last.

I didn't walk out with either of the three, but I think the WG is on my shortlist for one day.

Which one do you like the most?

Of those 3 I also like the white gold. But my favourite by far is this YG model. The subdials and the red make it oh so special. It's also very rare and not shown on the Rolex site.

That black dial is sexy AF. My AD said that they could order that combo. I'm still not sure whether I would prefer it over the champagne dial - the sunburst effect really makes the watch for me. I've also seen a YG Oysterflex with a MOP/diamond dial and I thought it was really ugly...

Rubber on that particular YachtMaster makes "sense" and looks great to my eye. Rubber straps on the higher end Daytona models, just doesn't do it for me. On a basic steel model I like them but I'd prefer the aftermarket straps that eliminate that somewhat awkward endlink adapter.

That Daytona on the left is fantastic. I don't do yellow gold and wish it was rose but it is a special combination. Anyone know the rrp?

The WG is my favorite by far on OF. I was offered 30% off a WG with a bracelet...but it looks much better with OF.

I'm not typically a yellow gold guy, but I think the YG model is the best of the group. Not using the yellow gold bracelet makes it not so ostentatious, and the combo of black strap, black bezel, and black subdials is just perfect.

Haven't seen WG, but plenty of YG Oysterflex. That champagne dial is mesmerizing. It makes me want to be a YG person :)

Yeah indeed. Not sure about the notion of having an expensive gold head on a rubber strap. Certainly not at those prices.

White gold is absolutely stunning. If you can get 30% off from AD I'd be all over it.

Unfortunately, they could do nowhere near 30%. I too, would be a buyer at 30% off. My sales guy actually recommended waiting a bit for the hype to die down before picking up one of the WG OFs, when they would have more flexibility with price.

I'm not surprised the consensus seems to be with the WG, but the YG was a very pleasant surprise and keeps looking better and better to me.

Cool to have all three together.

Don’t rule out the RG until you see the black dial version, its gorgeous.

Good point Sam. I shouldn't dismiss the RG so quickly as there are quite a few dial options. I reckon I would like the pink or black dial more.

It's interesting how on the Rolex website, if you pull up both the YG and WG, they only offer respectively, the champagne and steel dial configurations. But for the RG, they have a buffet of dials available.

Agreed, can an able person post all dial variations on this thread?

The WG is the standout. I didn't think I'd like it but once I handled it I was smitten.
