Incoming - PAM 682
Thanks to everyone on this and main forum for their advise. Was able to score a good deal on the 682, and for me it’s a 42mm or nothing given my cursed small wrists! Second day on the wrist and super comfortable. Was debating between this and Hulk but I have a SubC date (LN) and will wait for Hulk prices to come back to reality once Rolex starts supplying ADs in a few months. Happy new year everyone !

Lovely, congrats! I think this one will be a big success for Panerai.

Thanks everyone! I think this is a great timepiece, so far my favorite panerai, but I tend to be biased toward dive watches in general. Here’s a super brief review: for my +/-6.75’inch wrist, this is a great size. I think panerai is smart in introducing more 42mm watches each year , especially this one which is virtually identical to its bigger brother. A 44mm panerai or larger just looks silly on my wrist. It is extremely comfortable, equally so to my SubC date. The rubber strap is awesome, very soft and confirms to the wrist. The only annoying part for me is they the tail is a little long without a second keeper to hold it in place . I’m using second to last hole. The case itself is beautiful - all brushed. When paired with the brushed SS bezel which is uncluttered compared w some other watches w SS timing bezels, it has a really cool look. The contrast between the cook tone of steel and the matte black dial is just awesome . And the touch of blue on the seconds subdial is a nice addition. The dial markers and hands are unobtrusive and give it a no-fuss, super easy to read appearance which I love. The datewheel is black and blends in. So if you’re not a date guy/gal, I don’t think it will bother you. The crystal is slightly domed w anti-reflective treatmenT, making the dial easy to gaze at from any angle. On the back, you can see the movement through the display crystal - looks nice but as we know , panerai doesn’t finish their movements “fancy” so looks very utilitarian . For me, I like that the clear back probably shaves a few grams off the overall weight. The watch was set before shipment on this past Tuesday and is keeping near perfect time. Overall, fantastic timepiece. Priced around same as SubC date but can get at discount. I’m sure many people may be decided beteeen the two 300m divers. I still would go SubC first . As I mentioned for me I was deciding between another sub (Hulk) or my first submersible. Especially given the state of current prices , I am happy w my choice after week 1. Incoming - PAM 682
Congrats JR16! Welcome to the 42mm Panerai club!
Wow! Never imagine that there’ll be a 42mm Subs for the brand. Looking at the dial - it is perfectly balance: two liners at both 12 and 6 o’clock and the 12 and 6 index markers as well. The date is also very eligible from any angle, which was accentuated by the blue second hand on the opposite side. I’m really glad you’re enjoying your Pam tremendously as I do with my Due. I really think Pam did the right thing to introduce these changes to their Luminor line. And they created a new segment for those customers who wanted the allure of the Pam but cannot hack the size, and these customers also include some returnees like myself. It is a change that I have longed for and glad they finally took that direction. It’s a change that may also take some time of getting used to for some folks. But hey they branded it differently for better product differentiation targeted at some segments and I have no issue on that. With the new Pam CEO coming on board next quarter, I am equally excited on the forthcoming changes that will be introduced to the brand. Happy holidays! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

PAM 682 Bezel
I'm on the verge of picking up a 682 but have put on the brakes after reading about it's bezel having too much play and being too loose. I came across this thread on the 682 so I'm looking for input. Has anyone had an issue with the bezel? Thanks so much for any input!!
