Straps for the Daytona C

So the Daytona C is a fantastic watch. Had it with a black dial, which in my eyes was missing some contrast (or something) to make it even a little legible.

The “Polar Daytona” is a whole other ball game, and could become a keeper-until-the-ref116519LN is within reach :-)

Now, my SD 116600 is on its natural born bracelet, I want to be able to put my Daytona on a strap.

I got the great Smarty End Links, but any ideas on straps (and clasps and/ or buckle!?)

Here is some of my attemps so far:

love it! Looks great for some variety. So the strap in the first pic is not the gator strap pin the second?

Can we see more pics? Thanks.

Straps for the Daytona C

Thanks!
No, the strap in the first is a calf DiModell

The one in the two others is a Rios1931 aligator

I like it a lot!

my next little project is to achieve this look using the OEM clasp. Still working on it. Might have to have something custom made...

The first picture has a very good look, would look even better if you could use the original deployant clasp instead of tang. I just posted on someone else's thread about this. It's very inconvenient for me to use leather on my watches. But a great look nonetheless.

Exactly, but there is no clasp in stainless, right?

Those straps look great!

Are they 20mm x 18mm or 20mm x 16mm?

I've been trying to find aftermarket 20mm x 16mm straps for my Tudor Chrono (in order to use the 16mm deployant) but I'm having a very difficult time find them. Most are 20mm x 18mm.

Hirsch makes a few Alligator straps in the 20mm x 16mm size. I hadn't really considered alligator until I saw your pictures.

The other challenge is, my Tudor has the end links (similar to your "smarty endlinks") and most straps I've seen are thick and it's a very tight fit under the endlinks.

Perforated looks great, also a Racing strap with three holes and no end links for the rugged look.

Love all these pics! I really need to get up the courage to try this to my own. I’ve always loved the Daytona on a leather strap
