Can someone please tell me about this watch? The model number? I don’t have the sn

Hi, I'd like to know more about this watch please. The Reference number and era of manufacture (I don't have a letter from the SN).

I do know the Bezel is not original. I think it's an aftermarket bezel.

And I think the Dial is a true Rolex, but I know it's not original on this particular model.

It's my Mom's watch and we took it to the Dallas RSC on Harwood Ln. (If you've never been, it's a neat experience). They saw us without an appt. I wanted Mom to get it fixed there instead of her local "Guy who used to work for Rolex - so he knows what he's doing," because its needed a few repairs. It will lose time and she'll take it in (I since think she's not moving enough and instructed her to hand wind it each day).

Again, the question is "Reference number and era of manufacture." I already know it is a Franken.

Not trying to be rude but everything about the watch screams fake: dial, date wheel, bezel, cyclops, bracelet, clasp, crown, caseback, end-links.

Also, the RSC will not service frankens or watches with any non OEM parts

Yes, that's how I found out it's a Franken, from Rolex RSC. Thank you for clarifying what I just said. They inspected it and said the bezel and dial are not original. I'll take their word over yours for the other parts.

I am a little confused so it’s been to an RSC how would you not know the reference? If they told you about the aftermarket bezel and Dial how did they not give you the reference number? Wouldn’t they have given you a repair quote? I thought they would replace any parts that are non OEM.

That paperwork would have shown the reference how much a service is as well as the costs for the parts they need to replace? Maybe they would not have told you the era, but seems very surprising that information was not on some type of paperwork?

Not trying to be rude but just odd you don’t have a clue on the reference / why did you not ask while you were at an RSC?

I usually don't pipe up about ladies' Rolex watches, because there are a lot of details that don't ring true compared to the men's line of watches.

We do have members who know about these watches and a trip over to the vintage forum might be advised.

I'm also wondering why RSC didn't reveal a little more about the watch, if it was indeed taken there.

Its a model 69178... more than likely late 80s or early 90s... you can tell because the case is no-holes. Dial and bezel are aftermarket... band is moderately stretched and overpolished... it should have 2135 caliber movement, quickset, and hollow center links. 2135 can be a bit tricky and isn't the easiest to work with but shouldn't break the bank... of course, work at a RSC is more expensive than anywhere else... if they plan on sending it back to Rolex for service, you would be better off putting an original bezel and dial on it now, before they do and bill you for it.

Looks real with aftermarket parts as AD told you.
Also very worn. A RSC repair would not create a good looking watch and they probably know that.
If you replace the dial and bezel, the rest of the watch is still going to be very worn, and it won't look right.
It would be a lot easier for the repair man to tell you the model and the exact age.
