Tudor Heritage Chrono....Would you buy?
Hello All,
I have been talking to a seller about the Tudor Heritage Chrono watch... It's in rough shape Do you think it can be cleaned up? Some of the the scratches are deep too... I showed the Pics to a Watch Repair guy I know and he said it would polish up nicely....What do you all think? |

If the price reflects the condition, it might be worth it. There are a lot of these out there, it's easy to find one in better condition. I'm thinking about getting a blue one myself, so I really like the watch. But I wouldn't get a beat up one to save a few bucks.

i dont think thats rough at all. if the price is in line with the condition i say go for it. i wouldnt polish it either, i will take scuffs and clean edges 10/10 times over potentially rounding out and changing the shape of your watch with a polish. I say buy, wear, and enjoy. looks like the previous owner did

The safety lock on the clasp looks bent or warped a little, otherwise it looks ok. I wouldn't be in a rush to polish it either, it's barely worn in.

I find the dial on the Tudor a bit too busy with the multi color scheme. As far as the shape. It can be easily cleaned up.

These are on my radar as well. I have seen a number of these in better condition with box and papers in the 1800-2100 range. I would say if you can snap this one up for 1350-1500 that's an alright deal.

I love the looks, but have had bad luck with the DP movement.

That's a shame. What happened with yours? My Monaco has one as well, but luckily I've had no trouble with it (except for a $700 service bill!). I do tend to get lucky with these things, though. As a result, however, I'm very unlucky in love and in Scrabble. Can never get the letters I need.

If that's the one that was posted for $1650, then I'd buy it.

Oh sure...it can be fixed up, no problem.
The bigger question, for me, is that if this is how someone treats their watch, what else is wrong with it? Or could be? |

Awesome watch. Have it cleaned up and you are good. Like someone else said, you could find one in better condition.
