Does anyone own/wear only one Rolex?

I only own one Rolex. Why? Mainly because I don’t have a lot of disposable to spend a lot on watches. :^)

I decided a couple of years ago to save a little bit each month to put towards the Rolex fund. After several months, I had enough to pay for my new OP!! I don’t regret buying this watch and it has been with me everyday whether it’s in the office, in the woods, or fishing on the river. I don’t baby it (too much!) and plan to hold onto it for a lifetime.

Is there anyone else out there who only owns or wears ONE watch everyday? If so, let’s see it!

I did in my early collecting days. However I soon discovered the need for #2 when I sent my first out for service.

Ditto.
It always starts with one

Then I had up to six at one stage before I realized you can't have a real favourite and it was all getting a little too ridiculous for me.

After I picked up the MK II DSSD, nothing else got any wrist time what so ever. So they all had to go except the DSSD.
Then I added the JC, which in a way is for all intents and purposes still making it a one watch scenario
At least, that's what I keep telling myself anyway

I own only one. It's a SubC. I'm the type that really doesn't like having to decide which watch to wear...so I only have the one.

Me neither, that’s why I have a watch for each day of the week and some have one for each day of the month!

X2 SubC is the perfect watch in my opinion for all situations. I just got one in yellow gold

I'm with the gents above

With this :

my "want" for other Rolexes has abated and I am completely happy with this as an only Rolex, but I like watches too much in general to have only one watch.

I'm also enjoying the diversity that different brands bring

Same for me! I research other watches all the time but never pull the trigger because I can’t bear the thought of not wearing my EXII.

Starting to worry about the withdrawals when it has to be serviced. Plus, I have two kids and only one watch so I’m feeling like I’ll have to get something else here eventually.

I will wear my Submariner 14060M everyday until I give it to my son.
I will buy another “one watch” at that time.

This and kyle 3130 ... legends ! I just bought one of these and, after trying to destroy it getting the band on and off and trying various nato straps, I think it will wear very well.
Altho I have a tiny wrist - 6 inches - it still fits (just) but the natos even better. Happy days.. The only thing I'm worried about is finding out in a few years when I go for a service with 4olex tht it's a fake lol

I wore a DJ every day (see sig) for 31 years. I honestly didn’t know people would buy more than one Rolex. I felt fortunate to have the one. Imagine that!

Got a Daytona a little over a year ago and wear that at least 29 out of 30 days.

There are a lot of great and interesting watches out there and this forum really makes you aware of it. It’s up to you whether you want a collection or just appreciate one (or two) fine watches.

Just one for me. I have a couple Seikos and a MKII Hawkinge as well, but only one Rolex and I’ve worn it every day since I got it 9 months ago.

Also, that 36mm steel dial OP was a watch I considered too, if I had a smaller wrist I might have gone that way, great choice!

I was just thinking that I WISH my wrists were that large, so that the Sub looked a little smaller like that. That's awesome.

Me too schoolboy and forum members. I've owned four (4) Rolex watches in the last 25+ years and have no compelling reason for more.(I occasionly wear a Hamilton Ventura reissue)

I'm retired from the film business and have more than enough, money to buy more Rolex watches but why? Besides:

I can only wear one at time.

Make no mistake, it's a pricy proposition to assemble an interesting collection, but it's simply not for me. I spend a lot on musical instruments and professional recording gear - that's always been my priority.

So yeah, I'm a one Rolex guy and it works for me. Kudos to the collectors - the pix I see here on TRF are inspiring.

Mark
