Wait list for 2018 SS Sub w/Date 116610LN

Just put down a deposit and am waiting on my Sub. The AD said it could be 3 weeks, could be 1 month, could be 4 months. Anyone else waiting or if you received one after waiting how long did it take? I live in Virginia FYI

It seems Rolex stopped shipping all SS Sport models for a few months........theyre starting to show up again so I'm sure it won't be long. I just got a call yesterday from my AD and the SD43 had arrived.

Good luck and enjoy!!!

My AD told me up 2 months for a DeepBlue SD. Took less then three weeks. I think they have no idea and give you a conservative time frame.

Just arrived from Grand Cayman and all the businesses had the Submariner but without a calendar. Even they made a 10% discount and of course no tax.

Very true. I was in Cayman Islands on February 13 and they also offered it with a 10% discount. Panerai models too.
Do not buy but I had fun in a bar called Margaretville. I recommend it if you guys go.

Why would you buy one from an AD when you can get one cheaper and quicker from one of our forum sponsored sellers? This makes no sense to me.

Because some people want to make sure 100% nothing is wrong with the watch and new.

Just because you buy a watch from a trusted seller here doesn't mean it's cheaper.

I got my watches for lower prices than these resellers and I get it from AD

I wasn't aware that was possible right now. Every "unworn" 116610LN I've seen from a TS recently has been listed above MSRP.

$9,500 for a Sub is excessive, IMO

Trute. No pay more than 8550 plus tax , and that's because there is a shortage right now but it seems that you do not have to wait long according to the comments and there are even those who saw two in immediate delivery.

Some folks can’t stomach the idea wiring $$$$$ to some guy on the interwebs - regardless of feedback etc.

I tell non-WIS about how it works and their jaws just drop.

Look at the OP’s post count - he probably doesn’t know about greys.

At lot of guys who only buy a fine watch every few years go with ADs because that’s the only Rolex source they know of.

Sub dates are being sold for MSRP or higher for new or just under MSRP for pre-owned, and some people prefer buying from an AD even if it is a tad more expensive. I would say we who buy from TS are actually in the minority.

I see the TS listing them for over MSRP. This isn't a tough to source watch... You call 5-10 ADs, you'll have it within a week, from an AD, at MSRP.

For the life of me, I can't figure out who would pay over MSRP in the USA for this watch.

The warranty is transferred to the new owner, so there’s zero difference there.

Your post makes no sense to me... have you seen the prices for BNIB 116610LN trusted sellers are asking? Try to find one at list, most are well over.

Yes, prices have been inflated lately. There was a time not so long ago, where you could pickup a sub from a trusted seller for under retail.

Bought my 116610LN on 02/11. The AD had 1 on display and another one still in the coffin box (which was the one that I bought). I was looking for the 126600 initially but they didn't have it so I got the SubC instead.

I ordered mine in August 2017, hope to have it by mid this year seems like the waiting list grows faster than they can supply.

Saw a new ceramic Sub ND just sitting in the display case at AD in FL. So they're shipping.

I have a feeling it shouldn't be terribly long. When I was shopping for my no-date Sub a month ago, my AD said they had a significant waiting line for the Submariner Date, and then they called me a week later to say they had a Submariner Date that I could have if I wanted it.
