I just lost at something where I had a 1/250 shot of winning. Can't imagine hitting on a lottery...although years ago a distant in-law of mine did win $6M.

A fishing buddy won 8M. Three years later he was divorced, bankrupt, and living in a tiny one BR apartment. I don't know how he happened to lose so much in a short time, but winning seemed to be worse in the long run than losing.

That's what makes Mon’s offer so attractive.
