Edges look a bit soft to me but I don’t have a great eye. I would pass and get a newer I or J serial in better shape

yeah. very rounded. It needs a new bezel and AP needs to probably do some work on it. Looks like an independent job. Hard pass for me

I would rather get the new 40th with the logo at 6 o'clock.

I agree with Neil, go with a newer series with the AP at 6.

Looks very over-polished to me. Those case edges and bezel are very rounded and I don't think can be saved. Hard pass on this one no matter the price.

The 40th Anniversary one with the logo at 6 is the one to get. Better clasp, cleaner dial and more true to its granddaddy 5402.

They've also brushed the bezel from 1 to 7 not straight down, seen this a few times and no excuse for it.

Yup. It looks like they've even managed to round the bezel edges on the screw slots. Really, really bad hack job.

A large part of the joy of owning a Royal Oak is admiring AP's impeccable finish and how the angular surfaces glitter in light like a disco ball. An improperly polished example takes this away and is an absolute no-go for me.

ah yes I did the refinishing on that one with my wife's emery board.

I hope that's not an AP dealer as that is absolutely shameful, and I don't know how anyone could offer that watch with a straight face.

I’m going to echo everyone else and say that’s definitely a pass. Way over polished by a third party

Love the 26400IO. May I ask why you considered flipping it? Size? Comfort?

Time for a new dealer! That Jumbo is a dog.

Good decision to keep your chrono.

Been polished.

As others said, more a fan of the 40th anniv. Small but significant changes.

Even then, the case is donezo. All the edges and angles on the bracelet appear to be ruined too. Unfortunately this one looks like a junker. A good lesson in why you should never, ever let anyone else but AP refinish a Royal Oak.
