I wasn't sure if this belongs in the joke section....................

Watched the news and saw that London has been upgraded to "Red Zone Alert" due to a couple of inches of snow.

No wonder they issued the highest weather alert.

It sounds worse when you say 25 milimeters.

Lol we’re nowhere near equipped for even an inch of snow. It’s shocking. People panic buying canned goods and long shelf life products......

And I thought SE Arkansans were bad. It usually takes an inch of ice and a power outage to panic the herd here.

Here even the trains have severe delays on the metro/underground. Just because of some soft frozen water. Not even ice I could wipe the soft snow off my car with my hand......go figure. LOL

Oh lawd

And Abdullah is absolutely spot on; you need to be aware of your braking distances in those slippy conditions. Leave a big, safe gap between cars! And if possible, perhaps avoid steep inclines / declines!

So it is barely freezing enough to keep the snow from turning liquid and there is an inch of it in total? How pathetic of an infrastructure if it cannot handle that...

IIRC, if it gets too warm in the summer the rails all warp and the trains can’t run.

But they make great dress shoes.

It’s easy to poke fun, but if they aren’t equipped to deal with snow it can cause short term closures and disruptions.

Yep the Beast from the East has crippled our country.

We just don't get snow in the south, not many have 4x4 or snow tires.

You don’t need 4x4 or snow tires for an inch of snow. I drive in six inches with front wheel drive and normal all season tires. But that is a great excuse to stay home, stoke up a fire, and relax.

Well I don't know what you need to drive in snow safely but the news here is of motorway crashes, cars in ditches etc. It obviously treacherous conditions and we're not used to it.

Four wheel drive does not mean four wheel stop, and not stopping is usually the problem.

Any modern car can drive in an inch of snow without special tires. Reducing speed and not following too closely are the “secret” to avoiding collisions on slippery surfaces.

We get the same knotheads here that drive like maniacs and end up in the ditch, or wrecked at intersectons.

Fellas, a boiler is the equipment that runs on gas and makes the radiators and water hot!! And after 2 days we have a new one!!
And yes our infrastructure is so embarrassingly bad!
